SAGAING DIVISION – There was an impact on the military side due to an ambush attack on a convoy of six armored vehicles coming out from Sagaing Military Division 33 at a section of road in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division, according to an official from the BLDF battalion, Anyar Mine Group.
It was reported that the second vehicle in the convoy was hit by two cluster mines during the ambush at a section of road in Chaung-U Township around 12 p.m. on January 26.
The number of casualties on the military side is still unknown, but the revolutionary comrades reportedly withdrew without any harm.
“Military dogs (junta soldiers) were injured, but the exact number has not yet been confirmed. Revolutionary comrades were able to retreat without harm. The second armored vehicle was hit by two cluster mines during the ambush attack,” said an official from the BLDF Battalion Anyar mines group.
