SOUTHERN SHAN STATE – The Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) announced on January 25 that the terrorist war council and the PNO militias, which are attacking and destroying the Pa-O region with more than 700 forces, are attacking the Pa-O region not only with ordinary heavy weapons, but also with chemical weapons.
The Terrorist War Council is currently shelling and destroying Pa-O villages in the eastern part of Hsihseng township with heavy weapons every day, and they are firing and destroying not only ordinary heavy weapons but also poisoned heavy weapons bullets into the villages.
On January 24, the PNLA excavated a shell fired by the Terrorist War Council, and it was reported that the unexploded shell was found to have written “TOXIC” on it.
These types of ammunition have not been found to have been used by the Terrorist War Council before and this is the first time that it has been discovered that the terrorist war council is openly committing unethical war crimes to the Pa-O area and Pa-O ethnic.
In the previous days, due to the poisonous shells fired by the Terrorist War Council, some soldiers suffered from skin itching, serious illness, dizziness and vomitting. It is reported that daily fighting is intense in Hsihseng township as the Terrorist War Council and the PNO Militia are attacking with a force of more than 700 people.
Although the PNLA was able to eliminate at least 200 among more than 700 joint forces of the terrorist war council, it was stated that junta reinforced their forces and continued to attack by abducting people of Pa-O and using them as human shields.
