MANDALAY DIVISION – According to Mr. Bo Tauk, the information officer of Madaya township People’s Defense Organisation, the revolutionary forces blocked and attacked the junta council column which left from Madaya town, Mandalay division. As a result, three junta council troops were said to have been killed and 20 troops were severely injured. It was known that the injured junta council troops are receiving medical treatments in Madaya hospital.
At around 6:30 a.m. on January 26, a unit of 100 junta council servants (the combination of the junta council troops from the Division 33 and Pyu Saw Htee militants) conducted offensive attacks towards Mway Htein Pin Sauk village in the northwestern part of Madaya township where the revolutionary forces controlled, by firing heavy weapons. The revolutionary alliance forces defended the junta council’s offensive attacks.
During that battle, three junta council troops were reportedly killed at the scene and 20 troops were severely injured. At the moment, the injured junta council troops were receiving emergency medical treatments at the Madaya hospital. Moreover, the revolutionary alliance forces managed to confiscate three junta council’s weapons.
The defeated junta council conducted aerial bombardments using fighter jets four times and recklessly fired the heavy weapons. Due to the junta council’s heavy weapon attacks, five civilians were said to have been injured.
