TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The terrorist junta army fired artillery shells on Pa Wa and Thar Ra Hpon (East) villages in Tanintharyi Township for two consecutive days without any fight, injuring 12 people, according to an official of People’s Defecne Force – Myeik District Battalion 2.
On January 22, at around 10:00 p.m., the terrorist junta army fired three 120mm on Pa Wa Village in Tanintharyi Township, two women and two men were seriously injured and seven people sustained minor injuries.
On January 23, at 12:05 a.m., the terrorist junta army fired again a 120mm on Thar Ra Hpon (East) Village in Tanintharyi Township, and a 20-year-old woman was seriously injured.
At present, five people who have been seriously injured and people who suffered minor injuries have been taken to nearby health care centers, and their conditions were still being monitored.
“The junta army fired three rounds of 120mm artillery shells on Pa Wa Village, seriously injuring two men and two women. About seven people also sustained minor injuries. The junta army fired one 120mm artillery shell on Thar Ra Hpon (East) Village. A woman in her 20s was seriously injured. The injured have been taken to nearby health care centers,” said the official of People’s Defence Force – Myeik District Battalion 2.
