MANDALAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta council reportedly launched airstrike attacks on Nyaung Kone Village in Taungtha Township, killing two civilians, according to an official of Taungtha People Strike Committee.
On January 18, at around 9:45 a.m., two powered parachutes of the junta council from Meiktila dropped bombs on the road and houses near the monastery in Nyaung Kone Village in Taungtha Township, killing two people.
During the junta airstrikes, 78-year-old Ms. Khin Than and 57-year-old Ms. Khin Nyut died on the spot, while another person was slightly injured, and three cows, one sheep and one pig were also killed.
In addition, at around 2 p.m., on January 18, a fighter jet from Meiktila dropped two bombs on Ywar Thit Village in Myingyan Township, damaging the school in the village.
Civil Society Organizations and Revolutionary Organizations have urged people to dig bomb shelters as the terrorist army continues to launch targeted airstrike attacks on the villages where people live.
