MAGWAY DIVISION – The accountable person of Chauk Guerrilla Force (C.G.F) mentioned that the revolutionary alliance forces attacked the junta council troops who conducted offensive attacks towards Hteinsan village, Chauk township, Magway division. Due to the attack, 6 junta council troops were said to have been killed.
At around 6:45 a.m. on January 15, a unit of 100 junta council troops who left from Kone Gyi Pyu Saw Htee camp, raided towards Hteinsan village, in Chauk township.
The revolutionary forces waited and attacked those junta council troops in advance while they were entering to Hteinsan village. During the fighting, six junta council troops were reportedly killed and many revolutionary comrades were also injured.
The defeated junta council troops murdered two villagers and abducted one villager. Following that attack around 10 a.m. they retreated back to their Kone Gyi village Pyu Saw Htee military camp.
Mr. Paing, the accountable person of Chauk Guerrilla Force (C.G.F) mentioned that “During the back and forth firefights we mainly used the heavy weapons and rarely used the small arms. The injured junta council troops were delivered to Chauk by cars from Kone Gyi village. It was known that the ambulances also came from Chauk to carry the injured troops. At least six junta council troops were said to have been killed in the battle. The fascist junta council troops also murdered two civilians by shooting into their heads. After the fascist junta council column retreated, we picked up the civilian dead bodies and buried them well.”
That attack was jointly carried out by Chauk Guerrilla Force (C.G.F), Chauk township People Defense Force, Magway district People’s Defense Organisation special attack force and Chauk township revolutionary coalition. And the revolutionary forces managed to retreat successfully.
