SAGAING DIVISION – An official from Brave Warriors for Myanmar reported that 11 junta forces including a captain were killed on the spot during the attack on the junta North Western Command in Monywa using missiles.
The North Western Command was attacked with 107mm missiles around 9:45 p.m. on January 14, and initial reports mentioned the death of six junta soldiers including Captain Kaung Htet Zaw and that the quarters of the deputy commander as well as the main office were damaged.
“We fired four missiles. The quarters of the deputy commander was hit and collapsed. The main office of the North Western Command was also damaged. There were six (junta) deaths. There was Captain Kaung Htet Zaw (DSA Batch 62), one corporal and one soldier. One lance corporal and two soldiers were injured and are in the ICU,” shared the official from Brave Warriors for Myanmar.
According to the latest news, the missiles also hit the office of the No. 12 Communications Regiment and five junta forces on night duty, three soldiers and two commandoes, were killed.
The North Western Command is the main center of command for the military operations by junta battalions in Sagaing Division, northern Magway Division and Chin State. It was attacked as it is a large obstacle for the revolutionary forces in those regions and is also responsible for reducing the momentum of the revolution as well as the oppression and torture of civilians in those regions, explained the official from Brave Warriors for Myanmar.
The attack was led by Brave Warriors for Myanmar and joined by Shadow (Monywa), Anonymous Heroes, Chindwin Fighters, Daung Generation Bo Moteseik and Democratic Rangers.
