MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) reported that the atrocious junta council has been killing civilians, and a total of 6,160 people had been murdered across Myanmar, after the bloody coup d’état in Myanmar, from 1 February 2021 to 13 January 2025.
The 6,160 confirmed deaths include 1,363 women and 702 children, according to AAPP. The AAPP also reported that there are approximately an additional 2,900 deaths that need to be verified.
It has been reported that 28,202 people were abducted and detained, among them 21,493 abductees are currently under detention and 9,963 out of them have been sentenced, according to the data compiled by AAPP from 1 February 2021 to 13 January 2025.
Of those who were wrongfully convicted, 168 were sentenced to death, including 124 in prison and 44 in absentia.
The reported figures were compiled by AAPP within their range and the actual data on the ground are likely to be higher. It was said that if more data is collected, it will be added further.
