TANINTHARYI DIVISION- The Lark Guerrilla Force reported on January 13 that at least three military council soldiers were injured or killed when they intercepted an army column coming from Myitta Town, Dawei City.
On January 8, around 5:30 p.m., the junta column leaving from the eastern part of Myitta Town, Dawei, was intercepted by the Revolutionary Joint Forces at a road section between Pakhat and Dartway Kyauk Villages. Revolutionary forces reportedly fired heavy weapons and small arms, as well as using drones.
At least three soldiers from the military side were killed in the attack and the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw unharmed.
The attack was carried out by the LARK GUERRILLA FORCE (LGF) done jointly by the Kalathazat Force and Dawei District Army.
The LARK GUERRILLA FORCE (LGF) has urged the people to be especially careful traveling when military operations are carried out nationwide.
