MYANMAR – It was reported that the atrocious junta army continuously bombarded with its military aircrafts on Samee Town in Chin State, Kyaukme Town in Shan (North) State and Pauktaw Town in Rakhine State, according to locals and military news sources.
On January 13, at midnight, the junta’s military aircraft bombarded the office of the General Administration Department (GAD) in Samee Town in the southern part of Chin State, burning and destroying GAD office and some residential houses. The Chin Revolution source said that the casualty information has not yet been confirmed and the communications were disrupted.
Similarly, on January 13, at around 2:50 pm, the junta army dropped at least two bombs with its military aircrafts on Kyaukme Town in Shan (North) State, targeting the Kyaukme toll gate and the Wi Moke Hti Monastery near Nat Yae Kan (Lake). The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Revolutionary Forces had stationed at the Kyaukme toll gate, but the number of casualties was unknown, a local military source said.
“The air strikes were carried out on the outskirts of Kyaukme. There is also a large ravine near Nat Yae Kan (Lake). There are places where heavy fighting took place during Operation 1027. The TNLA is also stationed at the outer gate of the town. It is assumed that the airstrikes were carried out where the base of Revolutionary Forces will be,” the local military source explained.
Similarly, the military had been deliberately bombing towns and villages inhabited by civilians in townships occupied by the Arakan Army (AA) without any fighting. On January 12, at 11:00 a.m., the military junta dropped two bombs on Taung U Maw Village in Pauktaw Township with a fighter jet. No one was injured, but a house and a shop were destroyed.
The junta army was said to have launched continuous aerial bombings on Taung U Maw Village at 10:50 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. on January 12. It is reported that no one was injured or killed because the villagers saw the approaching military aircraft and fled from the village in time.
