YANGON DIVISION- Aung San’s Land Natmauk team leader Ko Barmahti told the media that a battle broke out between the revolutionary forces and the army near milepost 262 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway and a military vehicle was damaged.
On January 10 around 4 a.m., when the revolutionary forces reached milepost 262 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, they clashed with a terrorist military vehicle near Ywarthit Village. A military vehicle was reportedly damaged during the contact battle but the death toll from the Junta troops has not yet been confirmed.
It is reported that the revolutionary forces clashed with the army when they were going to raid the Sai Kaung police station in Nat Maung through Mile 262 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
“The Military lobby Kyaw Soe Oo said it was impossible for PDF to come near milepost 262, so we challenged them and came to raid and attack Saikaung police station in Natmauk district through the route passing milepost 262 expressway. We saw a military vehicle and had a clash near the Ywarthit Village. We opened 40mm launchers and small arms. The military vehicle was destroyed. The list of casualties of (war dogs) junta troops is not yet known. The main thing is that the military lobby Kyaw Soe Oo challenged the revolutionary forces to come to milepost 262, so we were going to attack Saikaung camp from there. There was an unexpected skirmish on the way, so the plan to seize Saikaung camp fell apart,” said Aung San’s Land Natmauk team leader Ko Barmahti.
The operation was carried out by Aung San’s Land Natmauk group, Pyawbwe- Yamethin PDF, and the Natmauk PDF in alliance.
