KACHIN STATE – At least 15 people were killed and many injured in the junta council’s airstrikes on Sam Lun Shwe Hmaw (Gold extraction place) in Hukaung valley region, Danai township according to local residents.
The people who were working in the Gatlanpar in Sam Lun Shwe Hmaw, Danai township were attacked by junta council’s 3 jet fighters on January 11th, 11:37 a.m., killing at least 15 and 10 were injured.
It was said that the terrorist army bombed Shwe Hmaw with 3 jet fighters 2 times, and many tents and shops in Shwe Hmaw were also burnt down. There are many injured people and the exact number of casualties is still under investigation.
“Today, January 11th, at around 11:37 a.m., they dropped bombs at the location of the people working at Gatlanpar, Sam Lun Shwe Hmaw in Hukaung District. 15 people were killed and 10 injured. There are also people who are missing and whose bodies have not been found. They bombed 2 times. 9 stalls selling goods in Shwe Hmaw were destroyed by fire. The death toll is still under investigation,” said a local resident.
