NAY PYI TAW – 46 junta soldiers that came out to conduct clearance in Tatkone Township of Nay Pyi Taw were attacked with mines, injuring six junta forces and one of them is on the verge of death.
Around 10:30 a.m. on January 10, ten junta forces led by Captain Kaung Khant from Air Defense Battalion 2023, ten led by Captain Nay Myo Win from Air Defense Electronics Warfare Battalion 8, and 26 led by Police Lieutenant Zaw Moe Lwin from Police Security Company 25 were moving to Kuyoe Village for clearance operation when revolutionary forces detonated explosives on them.
Eight explosives were detonated in the attack and Policeman Naing Lin Oo from Police Security Company 25 was injured under the jaws, Policeman Han Min Oo in the neck and back, Policeman Pyae Phyo Aung on his left lips and Policeman Htet Aung Lwin on his left cheek while Lance Corporal Wai Phyo from Air Defense Battalion 2023 was injured in his right arm and temple and Soldier Naing Lin Htwe had an injury piercing his neck and is said to be on the verge of death.
“The junta soldiers and police left to Kuyoe Village for clearance operation around 7:30 a.m. and were attacked with eight explosives. They all came back running. Naing Lin Htwe is not in a good condition, he had a high chance of dying,” said a Nay Pyi Taw police source.
