ARAKAN STATE- Terrorist military leaders do not have a policy to peacefully discuss and solve political problems. Their airstrikes prove it all,” the Arakan Army’s (AA) spokesperson Mr. Khaing Thukha told the media.
AA spokesperson Khaing Thukha made the above statement after the junta airstrike on Kyauknimaw Village, Yanbyel Island in Rakhine on January 8, where 40 civilians were killed.
He said that the airstrikes clearly show that the military council, including the terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing, has no policy to peacefully discuss and solve the political problems.
“Looking at these series of violent crimes by the terrorist fascist military council, it clearly shows that their leaders do not have a policy to peacefully discuss and solve political problems,” said the AA’s spokesperson.
Moreover, the terrorist war council’s targeting of civilians is a war crime and a violation of the Geneva Convention, which is an international standard, Mr. Khaing Thukha added.
“The action of the terrorist fascist military council, which purposefully shot and killed civilian targets in a peaceful place without any (ongoing) fights, is an inhumane act of vile and cruel cowards. It is a serious war crime and a flagrant violation of the Geneva Convention,” Mr. Khaing Thukha said.
AA has attacked and occupied 14 townships in Rakhine State, and now has spread out its forces and launching offensives in the bordering of Rakhine State such as Ayeyawaddy, Bago, and Magwe Divisions, according to the military news sources.
