MANDALAY DIVISION – According to Pathein Gyi People Defence Force, they shot junta council corporal Sein Than dead who had been standing guard at the Electric Power Corporation (EPC) office in Pathein Gyi township, Mandalay division.
At around 11:30 a.m. on January 5, the revolutionary forces shot the junta council servant, Sein Than, dead while he was travelling on the Myinsaing road section in junta council uniform. He (Sein Than) was a corporal from the Light Infantry battalion 116 under the coup council.
It has been reported that during the attack, the junta council servant, Sein Than, was killed on the spot.
The revolutionary comrades from the Pathein Gyi township People Defense Force performed that attack, and they managed to retreat successfully.
