RAKHINE STATE – According to local residents, the Arakan Army was carrying out reconstruction and clean-up activities in the townships it has occupied.
The Arakan People’s Government was rebuilding houses that were destroyed by fire during the reconstruction efforts.
The Arakan Army has mainly rebuilt houses that were destroyed by the junta’s airstrikes and arson raids, and free poles have been distributed to some of the burned houses.
United League of Arakan (ULA)/AA has completely captured and controlled Ponnagyun, Kyauktaw, Mrauk-U, Minbya, Myebon, Pauktaw, Ramree, Thandwe, Taungup, Ann, Gwa, Buthidaung, Rathedaung, and Maungdaw townships, including the Paletwa area.
Thousands of houses were destroyed by the junta’s airstrikes and arson attacks at the locations of the clashes and need assistance to rebuild.
