SAGAING DIVISION – Three iron plate reinforced vehicles of the junta council were attacked on the Monywa-Mandalay Road in Chaung U Township and one junta soldier died, according to an official from Seven People Defence Force (SPDF).
Around 5 p.m. on January 7, the three iron plate reinforced vehicles of the terrorist junta council were attacked with mines on the Monywa-Mandalay Road between Chaung U and Natyaykan.
It is said that one junta soldier was killed in the attack and two were injured while one car was also damaged and towed back into Chaung U.
On the morning of the attack, junta soldiers were reported to have forced the travelling civilians to sweep the mines in the area where they were planning to set up hidden sentries.
“They came down from Mandalay. There were three iron plate reinforced vehicles. They were coming up to Monywa and we attacked them with mines between Chaung U and Natyaykan on the Monywa-Mandalay Road. One junta dog (junta soldier) died and two were injured. One car was also damaged. The (damaged) car is no longer there as it has been towed to Chaung U. In the morning before the attack, junta dogs forced the travelling civilians to sweep mines in the area,” said the official from SPDF.
The attack was carried out by SPDF, Yae Nagar People’s Defence Force and Chaung U Township People’s Security Force.
