AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – In Thapaung Township, Administration Officer Hla Tun appointed by the terrorist junta council and Thein Zaw, chief of a sub village, were reported to have captured and turned in the young people who fled after being selected for conscription and also asked the junta council to capture four young men who escaped from military training, according to an official from Pathein News Special Team.
Hla Tun, the administration officer for Thayettaw Village Tract and Thein Zaw, the chief of Yaylegyi Sub Village reportedly collected information of the young people who fled from other regions to the villages of Yaylegyi, Malakakone, Tharyarkone, Tapuwa and Thinganngu in the village tract to evade conscription, captured them and turned them in to the junta council.
Moreover, during the first week of January when four new conscripted soldiers arrived at Thayettaw Village Tract injured after escaping the terrorist junta council, the two reported to the junta council and junta forces came to capture the four young men.
It is said that one of the young men managed to escape arrest but the other three were taken away by the junta forces.
Hla Tun and Thein Zaw, meanwhile, are searching for the one that escaped and reportedly ordered the administration team searching with them to kill the young man on the spot.
In addition, Hla Tun and Thein Zaw are reported to be also collecting 50,000 Kyats per household in Thayettaw Village Tract, claiming it’s for conscription fees.
