BAGO DIVISIOn- After the terrorist Junta troops arrested 4 people from the village of Gway Chaung without proper reason, Mr. Thein Than Htay, the father of a PDF soldier was reportedly beaten to death and his body was dumped on the side of the road, according to locals.
On January 3, the terrorist military council soldiers from the Oakpho Myoma police station arrived at Gway Chaung village, arrested the 41-year-old Mr. Thein Than Htay, the father of a PDF soldier, and 3 others, and taken away by car.
After his arrest, Mr. Thein Than Htay was killed by Junta troops at about 5:00 a.m. on January 5, on the Chauktinwin Communication Road of Oakpho Township. It is said that Mr. Thein Than Htay was hit in his head with his hands tied at the back and killed by the terrorist military council, junta troops reportedly fired two rounds of gunfire after the attack.
The victim is the father of a PDF soldier from Battalion 1, Company 5 of Tharyarwaddy District.
“The detainees were 2 women, an unidentified man, and Mr. Thein Than Htay from Gwey Chong village. Four people were arbitrarily arrested by war dogs. Among them, Mr. Thein Than Htay, the father of a PDF soldier, was beaten to death and two (warning) gunshots were reportedly fired. Junta troops picked up the body and cremated it the next morning,” said a local.
