MANDALAY DIVISION- In Taungthar Township, Air Force Captain Kyi Phay Lin and his fellow were shot while drinking tea. Both were killed on the spot and a pistol was reportedly seized, an official from People’s Liberation Army PLA No. 815 Unit (Northwest Military Region) told the media.
On December 29, at around 7:15 a.m., People’s Liberation Army PLA unit No. 815 opened fire on Air Force Captain Kyi Phay Lin and his fellow who were drinking tea (at a shop) in Taungtha Township.
“They were cleared today. The air force (dog)captain and his fellow both died on the spot. We tried to arrest them but they tried to run away and got shot and killed. For the interests of the oppressed people, the PLA would fight against the enemy military regime, their troops, and their pillars until eliminated,” an official from People’s Liberation Army PLA No. 815 Unit (Northwest Military Region) said.
It was reported that the MA5 MK1 pistol belonging to the deceased Air Force captain was also confiscated.
