MAGWAY DIVISION: The attack on the reinforced military convoy heading to Ann in Ngape township, Magway Division caused the deaths of 14 Junta’s soldiers, said Salai Khani Leibwe, a spokesman of Asho Chin Defence Force (ACDF).
At 8:48 a.m. on December 20, a military convoy performing a scout to reinforce the troops to Ann was reportedly intercepted at the junction of Wetsakyin Road near Saxsi village in Ngape township, Magway division. The scout convoy has a captain and 32 soldiers of the Junta’s council. When the battle broke out, the junta’s force stationing in Yan Aung Myay Pagoda Hill fired 60 mm shells and the junta’s troops in Saxsi monastery and Defense Industry (10) left with (4) lorries to reinforce. Due to the junta’s forces sandwiched the battleground, the region clearance and collecting the dead bodies and the weapons and ammunition couldn’t be performed.
During the battle, (14) Junta’s soldiers, including a captain, were killed and many got wounded. A comrade ofthe Asho Chin Defense Force ( ACDF) also got minor injuries.
