RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) released the photo records of capturing the entire Toungup Township, on December 22.
The Arakan Army completely captured all military bases, including 5th Military Operations Command (MOC-5) based in Toungup Town, Light Infantry Battalion – 544 and 346, at 4:10 p.m., on December 14.
The AA has already captured and controlled Paletwa, Pauktaw, Minbya, Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, Myebon, Ponnagyun, Ramree, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Thandwe, Toungup and Maungdaw towns.
At present, the Arakan Army has continued to attack the junta troops in Gwa Township, and the AA has already captured about two-thirds of Gwa Town.
Therefore, after the complete capture of Gwa Town, AA will only have three towns left to capture: Sittwe, Kyaukpyu, and Munaung towns.
