TANINTHARYI – Myeik township and Palaw township residents say that the terrorist junta council soldiers forcibly arrests young and middle-aged men and recruit them.
During these months, as there are not enough numbers to open the 8th and 9th batches of military service training, the terrorist junta council soldiers has been forcibly arresting young and middle-aged men. It is reported that a middle-aged man and an elderly man were arrested near the Palaw Bridge in Palaw township.
In addition, at least 10 other unidentified men were also arrested and all those arrested were taken to the Myeik City through the boat dock in Shap Pong village.
Similarly, junta council soldiers also arrested 3 young men who were playing guitar and playing games in front of their homes in Dawei River bank ward of Myeik City. The family members went to redeem them with the ward chiefs, but the terrorist soldiers of the junta council did not release them.
Due to the continuous arrests, the ward administrators and the heads of the households, themselves have warned young people not to go out at night in Myeik City.
