On December 10, they set fire to over 30 houses in the village and also discarded the bodies of the dead Pyu Saw Htee criminals in the village.
“Thapyaytha Village was set on fire even though there was no battle. It was done by around 300 Pyu Saw Htee thugs. Four dead bodies were found in the village. We got information from reliable sources that those four were killed during an infighting between the Pyu Saw Htee forces. Around 30 houses were burned and destroyed. No civilians were captured or murdered. They fought and killed among themselves but tried to spin it as if the villagers killed them and so they set fire to the village,” reported the residents.
