MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council issued an emergency order to investigate and take action on the flow of money from inside and outside of Myanmar to the fundraising campaigns held by the National Unity Government (NUG) and the People’s Defence Force (PDF), according to a source in Nay Pyi Taw.
The emergency order issued by the junta council’s office in Nay Pyi Taw mentioned that there is money flowing from within the country to the fundraising campaigns held by the NUG and PDF and ordered to find out who is contributing to those campaigns and how, to inspect the local bank accounts and mobile pay accounts and to charge and investigate those who made the contributions.
Moreover, the junta council also instructed to work together with neighbouring countries and use diplomatic channels to find out and investigate the bank accounts from those countries involved in the flow of funds to the opposition’s campaigns and work on shutting down those accounts as well.
Currently, the NUG’s Spring Development Bank is holding the Eain Pyan Hlaing Thit (New Wave Home) Campaign which was launched on November 15 and it is said that the campaign has raised nearly 13 million USD.
Similarly, PDF forces are also holding various fundraising campaigns including raffles, lottery tickets and Million Ticket campaign with active support from the people.
