SAGAING DIVISION- A ceremony to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was held on November 25 at the refugee camps in Sagaing, announced by the Ministry of Women’s, Youth and Children’s Affairs, National Unity Government.
During the 16-day movement, knowledge against sexual violence against women; Women’s human rights, and the right to defend themselves according to the law were shared with high school students, locals, People’s Administrative Force (PAF) officials, and PDF members, following the policy guidelines of the Ministry of Women’s, Youth and Children’s Affairs.
It is reported that 120 packages of feminine hygiene products were given to the women who attended the ceremony.
The locals, PAF, and PDF members who came to the event, students, parents, and teachers in charge were given 200 boxes of soap as souvenirs. It is known that the celebration of the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was held successfully.
