NORTHERN SHAN STATE – MNDAA’s frontline source said that 373 prisoners of war captured during the Lashio battle were released as the 6th time.
On August 12th, around 11:00 a.m., the 373 family members of the junta council members who were arrested during the Lashio city capturing battle were released. Starting from August 6th, the total number of family members as prisoners of war released is over 2,000.
“Yesterday was the 5th time they have been released. They were released again today. Today at about 11 o’clock, 373 were released. In total, it is more than 2000. SSPP came to assist in this release operation,” said a front-line MNDAA source.
385 prisoners of war were released for the first time on August 6th, 445 for the second time on August 7th, 308 for the third time on August 8th, 338 for the fourth time on August 9th and 331 people were released for the fifth time on August 11th.
